The Role – Agronomist GBI

Location: Remote 

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Sustainable Golf Department as Agronomist GBI. The successful candidate will deliver a best practice sustainable agronomy revenue-generating service to external golf club customers and stakeholders, providing recognized expertise, to allow them to protect themselves from the challenges posed by climate change, resource restrictions and legislative change. 
 
Working with and influencing internal and external stakeholders, to communicate key sustainability messaging to the golf market to increase knowledge and capability across the sector.
 
This is a full time position working 35 hours per week.

Who We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate will have the following experience and attributes:
  • BSc Hons Plant or Soil based science
  • Substantial experience in the field of agronomy consultancy delivered to golf courses and or amenity areas is beneficial
  • BASIS  and FACTS qualifications are an advantage. All agronomists are expected to hold BASIS and FACTS qualifications and continue to engage with CPD to  acquire the requisite number of valid points
About The R&A

The R&A group of companies was formed in 2004 to take on The Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews’ responsibilities for governing the Rules of Golf, staging The Open, golf’s original championship, and developing the sport. The World Golf Museum in St Andrews is part of The R&A group.
