Assistant Greenkeeper
Hockley Golf Club are recruiting an Assistant Greenkeeper to work as part of their enthusiastic greenkeeping team.
Hockley Golf Club has stood on top of the South Downs National Park for over 100 years. It is a chalk downland course with excellent drainage, permitting year-round golf.
The club are keen to recruit the right person for the job and a competitive salary will be offered, together with pension scheme, BIGGA membership, meals on duty, all uniform and PPE. You will also become a full member of Hockley GC after 3 months continued
service.
The club plans to continue its investment in the golf course and practice facilities.
Further education and training opportunities will also be available.
Overtime is paid at weekends, Bank Holidays and any hours over 40hrs p/w.
Duties will include:

Assisting the Course Manager and Deputy Course Manager in the preparation and maintenance of the Golf Course to the highest possible standard

Having a good eye for detail

Weekend and Bank Holiday work is carried out on a 1 in 3 rota basis throughout the year

Mowing banks, rough and semi-rough, surrounds and approaches, tees, greens and fairways
