Location: Beau Desert Golf Club
Salary: £34,000
Hours: Full-time (flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays)

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Deputy Course Manager to join our dedicated team.
 
 
About the Role:

As the Deputy Golf Course Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving the golf course to the highest standards. Working closely with the Golf Course Manager, you will oversee daily operations, manage the greenkeeping team, and ensure the course remains in pristine condition year-round.
 
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Golf Course Manager in planning and implementing maintenance schedules and improvement projects
  • Supervise, train, and motivate the groundskeeping team
  • Ensure the course meets the highest standards of playability and aesthetics
  • Oversee the operation and maintenance of all machinery and equipment
  • Monitor turf health, including irrigation, pest control, and fertilization
  • Maintain compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Assist in budget management and resource allocation
  • Communicate effectively with members, visitors, and stakeholders regarding course conditions and upcoming projects
What We’re Looking For:
  • Proven experience in golf course management or a similar role.
  • Qualification in turf management, horticulture, or a related field (desirable)
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a team
  • Knowledge of irrigation systems, machinery, and modern golf course maintenance techniques
  • Heathland and woodland management experience (desirable)
  • Attention to detail and a passion for high standards
  • Flexibility to work in varying weather conditions and on a rota basis
  • A valid driving license (essential)
