First Assistant - Bolton Old Links Golf Club
Nestled in the hills of the West Pennine Moors, Bolton Old Links Golf Club is inviting candidates to apply to join the experienced green keeping team. Bolton Old Links Golf Club is continuing to make large investments in the course and machinery to carry on the upward trend of the club.
Role responsibilities:

Work in conjunction with the Course Manager and Deputy Course Manager to motivate and inspire the team on a daily basis, whilst setting the course up to the highest of standards

Lead a weekend team through course setup

To promote a positive working environment

To be highly competent in all areas of green keeping and to carry out those tasks whilst working in accordance to Health and Safety guidelines
Key Skills:
-
Minimum 5 years experience working on golf courses
-
A positive attitude to work, self-motivated and team player
-
An understanding of routine golf course maintenance
-
NVQ level 3 or equivalent in Sportsturf Management

Spraying Licenses PA1, PA2 and PA6aw
-
Chainsaw License CS30, CS31
-
Golfer with a good understanding of the game and the etiquette of golf

Full Clean UK driving license
A Successful candidate will receive:
-
A starting salary of £30,000 based on 40 hours a week, which includes weekend work on a rota basis 1 in 3 throughout the year

21 days holiday plus Bank holidays

Staff Uniform and all PPE

Continual skill progression through training courses

Use of the golf course and its facilities
