A traditional members Club established in 1897 and regularly ranked amongst the top 40 courses in the UK and Ireland Western Gailes Golf Club is looking to recruit an experienced greenkeeper to join the agronomy team on a full-time basis.
A fantastic opportunity for an ambitious, enthusiastic and hardworking individual to further their career in greenkeeping. Working under the Course Manager and his Deputy, the role will allow the successful candidate to contribute significantly to the maintenance and presentation of a championship standard links golf course for both members and visitor golfers.
Ideally the successful candidate will possess the following:

A minimum of 5 years sports turf experience

Level 2/3 certification in sports turf

High level of attention to detail and excellent time management skills

An understanding of equipment maintenance and machinery setup

An understanding of irrigation systems, including maintenance and repair

PA1, 2 and 6 (or willing to complete immediately)

Full UK driving licence

The ability to work to a weekend rota

An annual bonus may be awarded based on both individual performance and overall company results. Any bonus is discretionary and not guaranteed
Salary:

Competitive, based on qualifications and experience. 40 hours Mon-Fri + 72 weekend hours per year
