R&A Scholarships
This programme was established in 2004 to provide support to students enrolled in turf management higher education, with funds provided by The R&A Foundation. Working closely with selected education providers, The R&A identifies the most deserving students to receive scholarships each year.
In addition to the direct financial assistance which is available to appointed scholars, those selected also gain access to a number of exclusive networking and continuing professional development opportunities which further enhance industry exposure and employability.
Since the programme’s inception, The R&A has supported over 200 scholars from more than 20 different countries, equating to an investment of over £0.6 million.
Students wishing to apply for an R&A Greenkeeping Scholarship should do so when signing up to relevant courses at the two colleges currently servicing this programme; Myerscough in England and SRUC Elmwood in Scotland.
A brochure describing The R&A Greenkeeping Scholarship Programme can be downloaded from The R&A website.
